Search for horse gold

At the barricade Smudge rushes forward hitting two goblins behind the barrier with the reach of his sword. Tirla leaps over the barricade and stabs one goblin tackling it to the ground. Tirla manages to kill the goblin and Smudge climbs over the barricade and skewers another goblin. Tirla tumbles between two goblins slicing one’s back open, killing it. The last goblin runs down the tunnels in to the darkness. The party gives chase but turns into the first room not sure which way the goblin ran.

After looking through all the rooms they arrived at the main chamber. Tirla peeks around the corner and see about 5 goblins, firing a sling stone at one of them. They threw daggers back at here. After Tirla retreats back around the corner the group decides to rush the goblins lead by Smudge. As Smudge rushed out he is bombarded by over a dozen daggers severely injuring him in several places. The rest of the group followed and are rushed by a dozen goblins. Smudge is hit by two war hammer blows and falls to the ground bleeding and unconscious with a broken leg and head wound. Tirla hits the goblin leader with several sling stones as he tossed 3 vipers towards the group. Smudge cut one viper in half before going down. Tirla fought the the other viper for the entire combat cutting it twice before Taras helped her finish it off. Taras was bitten on the arm by the viper and turned pale and weak with sever swelling in his arm. Gorn healed Smudge twice keeping him alive and reviving him to continue the fight. As Smudge, Gorn and Taras drop several goblins, Gorn enlarges Smudge and he slices two goblins down and the remaining four flee down the tunnel exiting the room, with the leader leading the retreat.

Searching the room they find 200sp and 6gp on the goblin bodies. In a carved wooden snake they find a hollow section which contains two bags and a small wooden casket. The casket contained three glass vials and two gems (tiny bloodstone and small rough cut violet garnet) in a small bag. The other bags contains 360gp in a less moldy smelling bag and a 718sp and 176gp in an old moldy bag. After searching the rest of the room the party leaves the way they came and rests in the forest.

The next morning they heal and return to the caves and carefully searched the entire cave complex. They discover that the tunnel the goblins fled down is an exit tunnel and they notice a section of the tunnel that the goblin path avoids and they avoid it as well. Also in the tunnels is a large hole that descends farther then Smudge can see. There is a faint metallic smell and the sound of flowing water coming from the hole.

After not finding any more gold they decided to rest again. The next morning they set out back to Fyodorll’s camp and setup camp just a little distance away to rest again before confronting her about the horses…

Loot found:
tiny bloodstone
violet garnet
3 glass vials

Search for the stolen horses

After resting the night at Sukiskyn the part sets out tracking the horses. They come across a battle scene where they find 17 white horse carcasses along with about 20 snake tattooed goblins, 2 giant wolfs, and 6 wolf cloak goblins bodies. After fighting and killing the 6 giant beetles they let a female goblin run away. They continue to follow the horse tracks to Fyodorll’s camp. After talking with Fyodorll they agree to pay 40gp (the same as she said she paid the goblins) per horse after they retrieve the gold from the goblins. They then head east and rest and spot signs of smoke in the morning and follow it to find the door to the snake tattooed goblin tunnels. After breaking down the door they enter the dark tunnels and find a barricade with goblins behind it.

The stand at Sukiskyn

Pytor and Smudge held the door and cut down seven wolf cloak goblins and three red stained goblins fell to missile fire before the few remaining retreated with the two wolfs. The door was repaired and the party waited out the night.

Taras and Smudge were on the tower when they were attacked by five huge bats, Gorn and Tirla raced up to the top of the tower to help. Tirla was badly bitten but the rest of the bats where slain by Smudge and the rest. After stopping Tirla’s bleeding the party waited again.

After hearing some women’s screems in the night and seeing someone in a yellow dress being dragged through the forest the party did not budge.

At dawn the full group of red stained goblins rushed the homestead. The main group of thirty (including two larger then average) rushed the east wall with crude wooden ladders lashed together with rope. The pudgy goblin leader and two more other larger then average goblins ran around to the main door and began hacking at it with axes. Gorn dumped the oil down on the goblins and they managed to get it lit as Kuzma froze one of the larger goblins with magic as it was standing in the fire. The lead golblin had to back off and wait for the oil to burn down but the other goblin had already burned to death.

The main group climbed the walls and poured in through the windows. Pytor held one side of the upper story killing goblins all around him. On the other side Smudge jumped off the upper floor to avoid being surrounded. This fall left him injured on the ground. The goblin leader and his his remaining guard rushed through the door after hacking through it and hacked smudge down. Kuzma had already kept Smudge alive one on the upper floor and when Gorn jumped down on top of the large goblins and got the leaders attention, she slipped down the stairs to heal Smudge again. With Smudge down Tirla leaps off the balcony bringing her dagger down on the back of the goblin leaders neck, killing him. With the leader dead the rest of the goblins flee.

The sun rises over the scene of carnage from the battles of the night. All told 26 red stained goblins where killed, including the leader and all four larger then average goblins.

Session Two: Goblins!

With a injured and angry brown bear charging the three adventures slipped into Misha’s cabin and barred the door. The bear pawed and groaned at the door but did not try and break it down. Tirla climbed out the window onto the roof to have a look around. After launching a sling stone into the woods the bear became distracted and eventually wondered off into the woods. The party camped inside the cabin for the night looting 5 gp and 50 sp from a jar on a shelf in the cabin and gave it to Tirla.
After a good nights rest they set out for Sukiskyn in the morning. After traveling along the river path for the day evening arrived with the sounds of battle and the smell of smoke. Sneaking along the path they spotted and where spotted by eight gobliniods wearing fur cloaks. After a barrage of spears Smudge engaged three of the goblinoids while Gorn faught two and Tirla battled the last as two had already fallen to Tirla’s sling and Smudge’s enlarged greatsword. As Gorn fought the two Gobliniods to a standstill Smudge was able to cut down three while sustaining several wounds. Tirla struggled to hold her own due to a serious of unfortunate attacks. Tirla sustained a major wound from an ax to the chest and after taking a second wound started to see red. As she struggled to remain standing and focused on her foe a crackle of energy suddenly took the goblin by surprise knocking sending him flying back across the path and leaving him dead and smoldering in the bushes. The rest of the goblins where finished by Smudge and Gorn and the three mismatched adventures headed for the bridge and gatehouse across the river. As they did a ground of wolf riding goblins raced down the river bank towards them. They quickly cross the bridge and ducked inside the gate house with spears rattling off the walls behind them.
Inside the gatehouse two humans in the early twenties greeted them and tried to rush them across the open grounds toward the main house. As they did a group of goblins rushed through the burnt northern wall. Smudges rushed them and swatted one aside before the other four surrounded him and cut him down with a serious of quick blows from their swords. Now freed from combating Smudge the goblins blocked the groups route to the door of the main building. Gorn moved quickly to heal smudge and the rest engaged the goblins. Taras fell one with his blade. With Smudge awake again the rest of the goblins were dispatched with the final one succumbing to the tip of Tirla’s spear as penetrating it’s back and chest.
Once inside the part took up stations around the homestead. Standing at the top of the tower they came under sniper fire but where able to fell several of the snipers before forcing them to retreat back into the woods. An hour later two groups rushed out of the woods; from the north a group of eight goblins moved into the ruins of the barn and began attacking with slings while a group of twelve goblins, two mounted on giant wolfs rushed across the bridge and attacked the main door. One of the wolf riders fell to a serious of arrows and Tirla’s sling bullets and one of the goblins hidden in the burnt out barn fell to a well placed arrow. The other Wolf rider has taken several hits but as just managed to hack the door open and the rest of the goblins rush forward to enter the homestead…

Session One: The Inn and the River

Here is a recap of session 1

Gorn the Cleric a PC is brought to the stage. He was a slave in a temple outside of our starting town and over the period of 30 years he picked up his connection to his god. After these many years he was offered a quest of some importance (help me out I cannot remember what it was.) He was sent down the to the wharf next morning early where he ended up meeting a man Stephan and a half-orc mercenary called Smudge. They both talked to Stephan and learned more about their work and quest. The fishy thing is that Stephan has one idea and the group that Gorn had another.

The work that Stephan wants is to help him ship some wild white horses to the elves up north.

Now to introduce the third PC Tirla Mintlpop. She a Halfling that has been in the town homeless, penniless and without a bath. She starts out by having a dream of Stephan. In the morning Tirla wakes up hungry and goes to the market place to steal some food. She encounters Stephan there and he gives her some food. After Stephan heads off through the streets and curious Tirla tails him through the streets down to the dock and the inn the Rotten Fish. Here is the point where Stephan meets Gorn and Smug. They check in and make their deal and Stephan leaves and starts to talk to Tirla. He offers her a place after she shows off her skills. She does a standing back flip and makes a dagger dance over her knuckles.

In step Smudge and Gorn, they are have the rest of the day and evening before they leave town. They settle in at the inn the Rotten Fish to drink the day away and start too. Gorn with his inexperience with alcohol becomes quite tipsy. As they are looking around for someone to start a fight with Tirla comes in and recognizes the two fellows that were with Stephan. After introductions had finished Smug bought Tirla a drink and she sipped at the ale while she told stories.

Part way through the morning (that is right it is still the morning here) they notice someone playing dice. Smudge asked Tirla is she knows how to play dice. She said that she has a few times but she does not totally know this game. So the two gents let the lady join them and one of them called Moric won every time. After Tirla was pretty much broke but the noble and kind Smudge tried his best to win back the money. This was so unsuccessful that he asked for some dice from the bar keep. Moric still wins and he goes on his way leaving the party back in the Rotten Fish.

Remember earlier how the pair wanted to start a fight well here comes the epic tale (cough cough.) A man dressed for a fight with bulging muscles (maybe an exaggeration) slapped the ass of the some what attractive bar maid. This made Smug mad and he went over to the man and said apologize. After some hemming and hawing and a spilled beer they decided to go out side to fight over it. Their eyes were shining with anger and their swords were about to be drawn. Little under three feet Tirla Mintlpop walked right up to them and said now boys there is not need to kill each other. You both have weapons the all men are born with use them she points to her fist. So they agree and the man swings back to hit Smug but it is a glancing blow. Smug deftly swings his fist and lays the man out in one swing. Tirla Mintlpop steps up and after checking with the man man times declares Smug the winner. This mostly likely will become an epic story of Tirla Mintlpop .

The three new companions and Stephan get on a boat that goes out to ocean and stays along the coast and go a little bit up another river further north. As her normal she climbs all around the boat and tells stories to the man in the crows nest. After four days travel they go up a river a little bit and dock in West Port. There they meet Kalanos and board his river boat where the companions and Stephan go further up river.

The boat was being rowed up a patchy forested river. All went calmly as it can with Tirla around. She went up front and kept watch then bored went to the back of the boat and tried to fish while merrily whistling to the wind. Abruptly the boat stopped and some arrows were fired from the shore. There was some peppering of fire and some bloody shots back and forth as some of the humanoids from the shore started to swim over. During this time one of the rowers in the boat attacked Smudge. towards the end of the fight as the humans that got the the boat were killed and the archers were being killed Tirla stood up and yelled leave and you will not be followed and killed. This did not work of course. Well the battle ended with some might swings on the parts of the companions and Stephan. Head were cut off with one swing and a body was cleaved 1/3 straight down the middle. After the battle ended they went ashore to check out the bodies and untie the chain that stopped the boat. To note the fighters all had scarred ankles and wrists

we received 3 gold total from fight.

After that we continued up stream and got to a dock. Stephen went one way after a conversation and said to ask for Pytor, his brother, at the homestead. He said that Misha lives at the cabin and runs a ferry from the dock and that the trail by the cabin should reach the homestead. He would meet us there. The Companions walked up to the cabin and Tirla knocked at the door and next thing you know it a mangy bear came running down the hill towards them…to continue next session
